Setup

Set up once.
Then press Start.

A few minutes the first time. After that Icarus runs on its own, career after career, for as long as you leave it on.

01

Windows 10 or 11

Icarus is one 64-bit Windows program. Nothing else to install: no Python, no Node.

02

The game on Steam

A Steam account that owns Umamusume: Pretty Derby (Global). Icarus signs in with it once.

03

Each account's Data Link

The Trainer ID and Data Link password of every game account you want Icarus to run.

Windows

Six steps to your first banked career.

  1. Put Icarus.exe in a folder of its own

Not Downloads: Icarus keeps your settings, sign-in and run history beside itself.

  2. Double-click it

The first time, Windows may show Windows protected your PC: choose More info, then Run anyway. The dashboard opens in your browser at 127.0.0.1:1717.

  3. Sign in with Steam, once

With the Steam account that owns the game. Enter the Steam Guard code if asked. The game does not need to be open, and Icarus keeps an encrypted session so every later sign-in is unattended.

  4. Add your accounts

Under Accounts: a Trainer ID and Data Link password for each, one at a time or pasted as a list, one per line.

  5. Pick the deck, trainee, parents and a preset

Open the account's Training tab. Choose the deck, friend card, trainee and parents, the scenario and Algorithmic or Independent Training, then a preset, or press Generate to build one for your trainee.

  6. Press Start

Watch careers bank and fan totals climb. Closing the browser tab changes nothing: open 127.0.0.1:1717 again any time. Closing Icarus's console window stops it.

While it runs

Want to play an account yourself?Press Stop first. The game and Icarus share one sign-in, so playing while the bot runs signs the other out.
A career left half-played in the gameThe game allows one career at a time. Algorithmic Training picks it up and plays it out. Independent Training waits and says why, or deletes it first if you switch that on.
Press Stop, any timeStop and Pause reach everything in progress.

An empty picker on an account just means Icarus has not visited it yet: open the account and press Visit now.

Updates

Icarus checks for new versions and installs a signed update from the dashboard. Roll back returns to the version you ran before. Your accounts and settings are never touched.

Your data

Settings, sign-in and run history live in folders next to Icarus.exe. Back up that folder and you have backed up everything.
